Custom Domains

Run your community on a domain your members recognize — for example community.yourbrand.com — instead of your KonnecTo subdomain.

Before you start

You'll need access to your domain's DNS settings (through your registrar or DNS provider) and a subdomain or apex you want to use. Custom-domain support is available on eligible plans.

Add and verify a domain

  1. Open Settings → Custom Domains in your workspace at KonnecTo App.
  2. Enter the domain you want to use and save it to create a pending entry.
  3. Add the DNS record shown (typically a CNAME pointing at your KonnecTo target) at your DNS provider.
  4. Return to KonnecTo and trigger Verify. DNS changes can take from a few minutes to several hours to propagate.
  5. Once verified, your community is served on the new domain with HTTPS.

Removing or changing a domain

You can remove a custom domain at any time from the same settings page; your community remains reachable on its KonnecTo subdomain. If you change domains, add and verify the new one before removing the old record.

Troubleshooting

  • Verification keeps failing — confirm the DNS record name and value match exactly and that no conflicting record exists for the same host.
  • Mixed results across devices — this is usually DNS propagation; wait and re-check.
